Our Lavender and Flax Seed Hot/Cold Packs are compartmentalized to keep the flax from sliding to one side. These are almost a compartment longer than our regular version and measures 5.5 inches wide by 23 inches long and contain 25 ounces of flax seed. We use minky or soft n comfy fabric on the back side.
To heat, place on the microwave turntable and heat for one minute. Take it out of the microwave and move the flax seed around and place back in for another minute. Never exceed a total of 3 minutes in the microwave. We find two 1 minute increments to be perfect.
To cool, place in ziploc bag and put in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
